About Us
Lora Vance had a dream. A small town Kansas farm girl, Lora found direction West.
After graduating from Kansas State University, Lora found herself working in 4H Clubs that took her from her home town in Kansas, to Arizona, Washington State, Hawaii and finally Orange County California. After settling on Balboa Island in 1959 and raising three children, Lora opened her office at 324 Marine Avenue, Balboa Island in 1974. |

Born in Orange County and raised on Balboa Island, it is only natural that Marlys Vance followed in her Mothers footsteps.
"The apple never falls far from the tree" after years of experience in the Real Estate business it is evident that integrity prevails.
Who better to share the lifestyle of Newport Beach then someone with first hand experience. Everything from building sandcastles in her front patio as a child to water-skiing in the back bay at lunchtime in high school, spending weekends sailing to Catalina on a schock 22 with her father and winters skiing in Big Bear with her friends.

helping operate a restaurant in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands then returning home to manage the front office of a well known landscape architect firm. In 1984 Marlys decided to join her Mother's office in sharing the joy of the island both selling and leasing property on Balboa Island. Since then, Marlys has acheived her Brokers license and after Lora's retirement, Marlys continues to maintain the family business, specializing in sales, leases, vacation rentals and property management.
